Hi All,

My 95 SL500 has just started to cut out after about five miles - it starts to missfire then dies and will not restart. Leave it an hour or so and it fires fine and runs fine for about another five miles.

Battery is flat and I have had to jump start it.

I am guessing means it must be fuel related - fuel pump? Any one else had this - is it a commn thing? How much will it cost to get right!

Any help or advice greatly appreciated?

Have your Mass Airflow sensor checked out, that may be the problem. I ran into a similar problem a few yrs ago on a 96 SL500, since then I ahve traded to a 2002 SL 500, the last year of the RAGTOP
