Door panel not sitting flat

I just got this 2001 SL 500 Sport and noticed that the panel is bowed a little. I tried to push it back on but it pops back out. Any ideas what's causing this?

It's very slight but it's bowed under the mirror in this picture. I can get a better picture tomorrow. It's the plastic moulding, not the sheet metal door. There's a slight gap between the moulding and the door.

Thanks

I just installed the panel on car I recently bought.
The way it is fastened is that you have a row of plastic pegs in upper part of panel that go into keyholes cut horizontally. So you insert the panel about 1" to the outer edge, even up top and slide it 1" to the front.
Bottom pegs are just press in and you finish with the screw at door edge.
Looks to me like 1 of the upper pegs is not in the hole, or broken, so you have to reverse above procedure and see what is happening.

Everything is easy when you know how to do it.
Ask me how many pegs I broke in my life because I was pulling them in wrong direction.
X-ray vision is still in development stage.
