SL/R129: Sl500 94 or 96?

Sl500 94 or 96?
Been looking for a sl500. Found what looks to be a nice one but its a 94. Is the 96 facelift so much better than the previous models?
when i read about them i think, at least on paper that i want the digital odometer, one color body, 5 speed gearbox.
but is the facelift so much better or would i be happy with the previous models? Is it worth taking a 2 hour trip to see the 94?
this car would be my daily driver.

Issue for me would be wiring harness!
After the changes of the 95,6 I have positive reports on transmission and window shift that might make the 96 top my list.
Nothing is cheap in either vehicle and both are of the age when top hydraulics , plastic interior things and vacuum leaks can be very distracting
Care and repair come before price in my world!

Yes, i heard about the harness. Doesnt sound fun at all. Sounds like i should wait for a 96 to show up.
i live in sweden, r129 raging from 4 500 usd to 25 000 usd for the really clean ones. For around 10 - 15 usd there comes in really nice ones whoch can be seem as good value. Priceses mostly vary due to the miles on the car
