I am a new owner and just need some advise on replacing the antenna mast. I have the new mast and the motor for the antenna does run. I was able to thread the antenna into the motor after multiple tries but my assistant turned the radio back on before I could secure it with the nut. I have tried multiple times since and it won't accept the mast. Is this a gear problem and if so are there diagrams for taking the unit apart to replace the gears?

It comes apart very easily. You can buy gear rebuild kits easily. Do a search. I've posted plenty of information on the antennas.
