Hey all.....new to the forum....recently procured an 01' SL600....love it!
Doing some maintenance to the car and thought I'd like to put in a lower thermostat so the car runs cooler....I've heard the M120's run a bit on the warm side inherently....
I know stock is 87 Degrees Celsius and I've just purchased an 80 degree Celsius thermostat...I believe it is Beck/Arnley
My question to you all is........How in the hell does the thermostat separate from the thermostat housing???? I cant figure it out....
Or does it not separate and you need to replace the whole housing w/thermostat????
Also what thermostats are you running on your M120's?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated....
Regards,
Brian

Hi Brian: not sure if someone answered your question, But on these cars the housing and the thermostat are all one piece. Make use your fan clutch is good, they make a big difference.
