R129 500SL Remove ADS
The Australian delivered R129 500SL all had ADS. I am looking at a 92 build 500SL with ADS.
I will want to replace the ADS with a conventional set up - where do I start
1. What will need replacing
2. Where to buy
3. By passing the ADS warning light and any other interlock that checks the health of the ADS, if such a thing exists
4.The gotchas
5. Things I should know
6. Questions I should be asking

At a minimum you'll have to replace the two front struts, the two rear shocks, all four suspension springs, and make modifications to retain the power steering pump or replace it too. I can't imagine anyone choosing to do that instead of keeping the existing ADS.

Sophocles39, I agree with bobterry99 that compromising your car's originality and ride quality is probably not a bright idea. But things may look different, if your car has been bodged already.
