SL/R129: 2000 SL500 starts after second try

2000 SL500 starts after second try
Hello everyone, i have a very weird situation.
Vehicle: 2000 SL500 with only 33k
Just randomly has started doing this:
Key is inserted and turned. Vehicle sits there and turns but does not start. I take key out and starts on second try everytime.
It also idles just a tad too low rpms because you can feel very little vibration.
Any thoughts? Anyone with same or similar problem?

'09 S600, (2) R129 300SLs, '03 SL500, '03 SL55
The idle RPMs are regulated by the engine management computer. If your RPMs are indeed too low, then I suggest you use the HHT-WIN scan software embedded in Mercedes' Star Diagnosis System (SDS) to investigate. You may also find a parameter which is out of spec and causing your engine to fail on the 1st start attempt.
