1995 SL500
Strut supports what should I be paying

1995 SL 500

I need my front strut supports changed out they have cracked.
i have had prices as high as $650. Any input out there?

The official replacement procedure from Mercedes calls for the suspension spring to be removed from the vehicle as a prerequisite to replacing the mount. However, that is not necessary, and with the spring in the car the replacement procedure is much quicker and easier.

From my perspective you should be paying about two hours of labor plus the cost of the mounts. That would be no more than $300 total.
