Just saw this 1999 Brabus SL73 that's being auctioned on Bring A Trailer. It's been modified.

This sat for ten years before the last owner bought it. It's a real monster of a a car.

If you watch the auctions on Bring A Trailer and follow our R129s you'll see that the prices for our cars is steadily climbing. That alone is a good reason to take care of our cars. This Brabus will most likely fetch close to $50,000 or more. Unreal.

 

Yeah I've been keeping a close eye on the auctions, prices are definitely on the incline. With that though, we're starting to see a huge flood of R129s for sale. There's 6 for sale on BaT at this very moment - all in great shape.

 

True. There seems to be more R129s coming up for sale. The good ones are also fetching high dollars. A Silver 2001 SL500 w/ 30,000 miles just sold a few days ago for $20,000 plus BAT fees of $1000. That price didn't include shipping and registration. There have been similar ones that have sold for even more.

 

R129's are going to shoot up big time.
Personally? I have never been a Brabus fan, I'm purely and AMG guy.

 

That SL73 on BAT did not sell. Reserve not met.

 

$85k! Incredible. Incredible the reserve was set higher!

 

Sucks this didn't sell - I hope the last bidder works something out. I believe $85k was more than fair, but without previous auctions as a basis it's hard to determine the reserve.
