R129 Climate control differences
Hi!
My 1998 SL500 had a broken LCD (about an inch of solid black on the screen) on the climate control when I took delivery in April. I replaced it with a used 202830-1285 last month which is the part number of the one I took out. It swapped out easily and worked great. Yesterday I noticed the display was missing pixels at certain times and fine at others. I pushed the temp up and down buttons a few times and it displayed correctly again. The question is what is the difference between the 202830-1285, 202830-1385 and 202830-1485 part numbers if I need to replace it again? Some folks on eBay are advertising them as interchangeable. Is this true? Any thoughts?
