Valve Cover Replacement

Hi, I'm replacing valve covers gaskets on 99 SL500 and need bolt torque spec and tightening sequence. I did search and not sure if it is 9Nm or 10Nm...
Also I'm replacing spark plugs as well and is 28Nm for torque setting? (found it on the cover of Bosch Double Platinum spark plug)

Thanks

10 Nm, no sequence, i always do from inside to out, lower one first.
28 Nm for spark plugs is right.

Passenger side went very smoothly but I forgot to release pressure from the fuel line so fuel leaked out of the fuel line when I tried to remove the last bolt on the driver side... got it all fixed and spark plug gap was set to .32 and installed all good however, when I started the engine, smoke is coming from the driver side after 3 to 5 min later... i made sure the all spark plug wires installed properly.. what could be the issue?

Oil that has dripped down onto the exhaust manifold from the exposed valve/cam area during the replacement.

The oil will burn off with one drive, unless the valve cover gasket wasn't installed properly and then the leak would be persistent.

I have not done a test drive yet as I have just cleaned the MAF and wanted to check if there is any leak before I did a test drive... so I guess I will put the cover on and drive a bit...

btw, is the .032 gap correct? I got that setting from autozone guy but FCPEURO and other sources indicates .040 (pre-gapped) should be fine.
