Hi Guys, Hope you are well. I have a 1998 SL 500 R129. My AC works for 20/30mins of driving, it blows cold and has decent strength but it stops after.

The fan doesn't work at whatever level I put, nothing happens if i change temperature or restart AC.

After a while when I drive again the AC starts working. Has anyone faced this issue? Would be great to know some views from the experts here.

Is the blower not working regulator issue? Could it be a vacuum leak? I want to diagnose the problem before sending to a dealer and getting a bank breaking repair bill.

Study the diagnostic manual for the climate control found here. In particular, read diagnostic codes and look at the "actual values" and see if any seem implausible.
