SL/R129: Left driver side window stopped functioning!

1998 SL500
Left driver side window stopped functioning!
Yesterday my window was working fine. The next day I tried rolling it down and nothing happened. My right side works fine. When actuating the roof only the right side goes down. No noise is made when pressing the left window switch. When opening and closing the door the drop feature doesn’t work.

I checked the fuse in the trunk and replaced it with no luck. I checked the switch and switch looks good. Any idea? I hate to have this problem when I take the hardtop off for Spring and Summer!

I went through 25 pages searching “window” in R129 forum and couldn’t find a solution…

I would pull the door panel and check for power in the motor plug for a start.
