dry ice cleaning?
Has anyone used dry ice to clean the undercarriage of their car?

My car has 260K miles and isn't particularly dirty on the undercarriage.
I don't know what the MB under coat substance actually is, but it does a pretty good job of shedding grime.
Did you drive through paint or something?

Thanks for the replies. I ran thru some wet cement and was able to hose it off with some high pressure water. The undercarriage on the car now looks clean. I would still like to look into dry icing to get the undercarriage sparkling clean. I have looked on BAT and seen a few car that were cleaned that way and it looked like something to check out.

The car is put up on a lift then the undercarriage is blasted with the stuff. The intent is to clean off any grease, grim and/or other crap. I looked into it because I accidently ran thru a puddle of cement laced water. I was able to high pressure the stuff off so I'm OK.
I think the big concern with dry ice blasting I have is if the undercoat gets cleaned off. The exposed metal could then be susceptible to rust. That said, I think I'll be passing on the task and staying clear of construction sites.
