Lowering JUST the front..is it okay?

Hello forum,

I wanted to lower my SL, but the rear sits just fine in my humble opinion. How would ride be affected by cutting a single coil off the stock front spring? Or if I had to buy springs, what would she ride like with stock springs in the rear and whatever else up front? I've always liked the lower front and *** up high look so this is what I'm going for with this particular "build". All input is welcome, negative positive or just downright nuts.

Best,
SuperSL

Hey SuperSL,

Im curious what you found as I was curious on this same subject since I picked up an early r129. The rear sits perfect but mine sits way to high in the front also. Did you end up cutting your front coils? If so how does it ride? Or did you just remove the shims? I wanted firmer up front as it’s too floaty but don’t want it bouncy either. Thanks for any insight.
