I read that I can pull off the return line, put in a bucket, start the roof cycle and catch the fluid. I pulled each line seperatly (not knowing for sure which was the return) but when I started the pump there was a fountain coming out of the hole in the pump.

Do I just put my finger over the hole?

Also, which line is the return for this pump?

Hey.
Just flashed my hydraulic system.
My SL500 if 1998 so the pump is different.
The return on my pump is the one closed to back.
Used this method and it worked fine.
