R129 EXHAUST MUFFLER OPTIONS?

Hello everyone

Looking at making my sl500 a little throatier and deeper but nothing loud. What are my options? I love the look of the brabus muffflers with the tips that come out at an angle. I found this website that has replicas but I don’t know if it’s up to quality spec. Anyone know where to source a real brabus one? I see them all the time on Russian Facebook and instagram pages but I feel like it’s a scam 😂. There is also a screenshot of a company called MEC that seems sorta ok. And lastly I’m wanting to know the maximum width I can go with 18 inch rims on spacers, looking for a wider stance

From experience, just exchanging the resonator for a resonator eliminator should do the trick.

If you want a Brabus muffler, start looking for one.

The shot above shows a AMG muffler and a stainless resonator eliminator.

Persistence.

Those OEM AMG R129 mufflers are like gold.

I thought the r129 rare AMG mufflers are just aesthetic and don’t actually deliver a different sound than stock?

You're right, slight difference to a stock 500 muffler.

I am trying to specifically find the "stainless resonator eliminator" without success. My shop doesn't seem to know about this particular option/part. Where could I find one? Thanks.

I don't doubt your shop didn't know about these exhaust parts.

The photo is some of my V12 parts (1997 SL600). They came from Japan.

Remember, persistence.
