Did you order the sports package or the luxury package? I like the luxury package ride but I like the sports package seats. Hmmmm?
Also, what about price? MSRP or better? I just don't know?

BTW, I wish you'd made your decision about sellin your car before I thought I was so close to delivery...I'd have bought it. Even though it isn't Capri Blue, you know it's gorgeous! Sure you won't keep it just to keep us entertained?

At one end, you have mass market producers, who should have their manufacturing quality control and parts/repair logistics down to perfection so that the items have close to zero problems, and if they do, the parts are available on-site and immediately. See Toyota/Lexus or Honda/Acura for how this is done. With such a company, you don't expect personal service, however, although the right attitude from customer service helps.
At the other end, there are specialty small-scale manufacturers, with low-volume production, and not as extensive a dealer repair network and parts warehouses. If you buy something from such a manufacturer, there very well may be more problems, and it may take a bit longer to ship parts, but on the other hand they will try very hard to provide a quality personal-touch ownership experience.
The trouble here is that MB seems to have fallen between two stools. They are approaching the custom-car price brackets, but are not set up to provide the personalized service. And while they are a mass-producer with a worldwide dealer network an large-scale manufacturing, sharing parts across the product line, they do not appear to have the quality control and manufacturing experience, or the parts logistics, of Toyota or Honda.

I find it interesting that Lovin is now talking about high end daily drivers. In the past, he mentioned some low end cars. In the past, he mentioned a girl friend, now he talks about a wife, and a child. The guy is freakin... MANIC

You pretty much have already done this in that you include the link to your website at the bottom of all your posts, and that website links to your webshots page, where you DO choose to use your full name. So now after a quick Google search I will always think of your beautiful SL as the car that the Whopper built! And hey, you spent several years working in my home town of White Plains, NY...........small world!!

I can truly understand your being skeptical, especially in the world of the internet, but IMHO, Lovin is all he says he is. Ever think the wife he mentions could be an ex-wife, the child could be from that former marriage and he now has a girlfriend?

Bentley Arnage Red Label
Even though I am sure you will miss the top down cruisin, the Vanquish is one beautiful car. The exhaust sound is the best I have ever heard from a stock car. Its nice to have another real thread to read lately in a time where the posers seem to be coming out of the woodwork.

As long as we are talking wine
By the way, LovinSL600, since you seem to be the expert on wine, I was wondering which vintage of Napa Cabernet you preferred- 2000, 2001 or 2002?

Carpeting will be black cherry. The stitching will be matching.
Should be gorgeous.
I have been thinking about the Aston's for years and am somewhat familiar with the Vanquish S but had never driven it up until this weekend.
To start getting into the cars you are talking about would put we way out of my league from a knowledge point of view. Would take a lot of time to educate myself.
The Aston slot was there for the 2006, loved the drive so I went with it. It was an amazing feeling and I am excited.
Thanks and take care.

You Got this Forum BUZZING
Lovin, you sure did get this forum buzzing with this thread. After reading some peoples comments, I expect their faces to be as red and as angry as this
, I hope you get the Aston, and you tell me how it is. I know my next dream car is the SLR. I always get what I want eventually and I will have one of them.
.
I wish I knew more about wine, that's one thing I never got into. Give me some recommendations.

I remember the first time I saw the SLR my heart dropped. I thought it was the most beautiful car I had ever seen. I hope you do get this car.
I'll send you an e-mail with some ideas on wine. I am really not that much of an expert but do know how to enjoy a bottle or two.

that's really too bad about your SL600 experience
anyway, some months back you asked about how to keep the comand in split view mode. I finally figured how to do that on the C320. Don't know if it will work on your SL600 though but this sure works for me.
in the settings menu, press the automap soft key and select "manual". then the comand will be either in full view or split view. if it's full view, press the "map" button again, and it's gonna stay split view from then on.
