Yes, it's a combination of the size of blue sky required between the new and secondhand price needed for punters to buy used plus the increasingly large margin dealers demand to take the car back, prep it, warranty it, carry it as stock and give them a profit as well. My SL55 has taken a bath, maybe 60k now, only consolation is that an SL600 would have been worse.

Nonetheless, The SL still a fine looking and fundamentally good car. I rate them, and would buy another.
Do you know what's involved in replacing the cluster?
