just kidding..
I liked the hood in person with a Sl65 bumper... However, after seeing pics of a SLK next to the Sl with the hood Id have to pass on it.

hm... the 1st moment when I look the pictures, I was like ??? then I realized it's a SL! well after I look at the picture again and again, I begin to like it and feel like to import 1 and try on, I hope the fitment will be fine
BTW, we have SL65 bumpers since 1 year ago, hehe...

Yea, I put a thread up on this a while ago (or at least I thinK I did.. I know I typed in it :p). It was a mixed discusson about it. It some pictures it looked good, in others it didnt. But most aggreed it looked best with the SL65 bumper. Personally I would like to see a SL hood with the original curves but with inlets like the Mecham Performance Trans Am hood. I think that would be neat.

The good news is, you don't have to go aftermarket. You can get a car with this hood on it straight from Mercedes-Benz with perfect fitment.

Agreed. However, if they tweak the design and build the car around a front end that looks something like that, I think they could do something that would be to my liking.
We'll have to wait and see. I think it is inevitable, we will see a hood that looks something like that someday.

It looks like the south end of a northbound mule. My rear end is better looking than the SLR nose. It is not my cup of tea. If I wanted a sports car, I would have bought a Ferrari or Porsche. Mercedes makes great cruisers.

The "nose" is a styling disaster. Makes you want to pick it. It will date the car so quickly, and it really does not integrate the bonnet and grill at all. A probocis of unqualified inelegance. Why add just one styling cue from a F1 car? Money says it won't be on the facelift SL.
I think it looks truly crap on the SLK as well.

i think that the colour would make it look better,
also like everyone is saying the 65 bumper
i have not seen one in person, so i cant properly judge it. i would get it if i had the 65 bumper and the correct colour and rims.
