As Scorchie pointed out on another thread, all MB manuals prohibit the use of "active antennas" within the car, because they might cause the electrical system to malfunction. Strictly speaking this could be interpreted to mean they do not recommend the use of a cellphone that is not wired into the antenna system. Given this, they can't make Bluetooth available without contradicting themselves, or clarifying that this provision does not apply to cellular phones.
