Drifting the SL600
Now that I've figured out how to put the SL into dyno mode, I've practiced my drifting.
With the car in Dyno mode, all electronic handling aids are switched off. The car is a different animal.
Holding the car in gear seems to work best and producing prodigious amounts of tire smoke is very easy.
The feint drift seems to work best, that is, twitch the wheel to one side, then abrubtly yank it to the other side, then stand on the gas in between steering wheel movements.
I know what you're saying: the SL600 isn't a drift car. It COULD be!!

Not something I would be practicing myself. Sorry, just my opinion.

Dyno mode means your car has all electronic assists disabled. Not a good way to drive your car, but you need it in that mode to well.. dyno the car. A dyno measures how much hp your car is making.
Drifting is a controlled slide. It's a popular type of racing or thing to do in Japan and now California as well. Some folks think it's absolutley stupid. I've tried it with some friends and I gotta say, it requires a lot of skill to be able to control it, and because of that, I respect it.
Plus it's wicked cool to just slide through turns.. just like a video game!
