SLR style hood - in case you are interested...
Happened upon this while doing some web surfing.

Ummm on reflection...
I have to say I was one of those that hated it. But on reflection it does make it look very SLR like - I think if it is going to have a nose like that it absolutely needs the AMG front bumper to balance it out. Although a custard coloured SL - now that is weird!

There was a picture in the SLK section sometime ago where the SLR nose was photoshopped out for a more tradional style nose but still befitting the new SLK design...it looked much better.

As a newbie, I didnt know this was a repost... sorry about that.
I guess the consensus is that it makes the SL looks cheapened...I guess I thought it looked more SLR'ish than SLK'ish... but you guys have a point.
Starting to also see '06 models on the road nowadays also.

I agree - i think if you are going for that nose - the AMG body styling is a must as then it looks ok - but with the styling it looks very awkward.

The SL with the CF lip has a different SLR hood than the other SL's. Take a look... The nose doesn't petrude down as far as the other hoods... Or am I crazy?
