White doesn't do it for me at all, I think it's a cultural thing, white seems much more common in Japan across all cars.

This really does work! I've even used the detailer by Meguires and it works fine. I literally hoses right off. Unfortunately, the brake calipers are a different story.

No i live in the country, with world highest cartaxes. I've only seen two SL's in real life they were Brilliant Silver and on german plates

I think that we pay 4 times as much as you do, but i've heard that there is a country, with higher taxes than Denmark, i think it was Indonesia or something.

I feel 4 times is too high to buy expensive car. I also hear about expensive tax in Singapore which is small country to have a personal car...

We shold pay 200% more than the rest of Europe but if you calculate the danish prices with the american prices it would be about 4 times as high

I thought the price was the same for all countries in the EU? In Taiwan it is 100% higher.

All of the EU countries got about the same car taxes, But demark is an outsider with 200% more than the rest of eu, and four times more than USA. A SL65 cost 4.400.000 Dkk. the us dollar is 6 times lower than Dkk. that would be about 73.000 dollar, because denmark got the lowest car prices, but the highest car taxes. in the US a SL65 cost 185.000, and if u put 300% on it would be about 730.000 dollar.. i can't figure it out..i don't really know the results, and the percents and so, because im only 15 so im just a stupid child. But anyway a SL65 cost 185.000$ in USA and it cost 720.000$ in denmark (!) Sorry about wrong spelling, and grammer

SL65 185.000$ x 6(the dollar is 6 times to danish crowns) = 1.100.000 DKK(185.00$) x 4(the car taxes) = 4.400.000Dkk. / 6(US dollar) = 730.000$! Tells a lot about the litle dot in north europe called Denmark (got 7 in mtematic so i don't know how abot this is right..but thats what i figure it out ot be)

This proves my point from an old post that some EU countries have a higher car tax. Last year, I was about to purchase a SL500 for my wife's parents in Taiwan and my jaw drop to the floor when I saw the price of $210,000 U.S. dollars.

Ricky is talking about the Silver Arrow. The night before the race, they ground all the paint off down to the aluminum body panels. It won the next day. That is why Silver Arrow 777 is used on special edition SLs aka the 50th Anniversary Edition and the last 100 (I think) of the old body style SLs (Silver Arrow Edition). I was fortunate to get a special order Designo SL55 in Silver Arrow 777. It's a nice color!
