2006 SL600, 2001 S500, 1996 SL320
Track Results Confused Me!
While watching some 1/4 Mile runs, I see a car do a 10 plus second 1/4 mile run with a top speed of around 102.
My top speed was about 116 and around 12.477 seconds.
Just doesn't make sense about a car going faster being slower in the 1/4 mile.

Most of your ET is made up in the first half of the track, the MPH is made up of the top end charge.
Try it sometime...run full blast to 1000 feet then lift off the gas or LIGHTLY tap the brakes (don't touch the brake in a car fitted with slicks or you may find yourself sideways, inverted or dead).

Some cars' powerband just kicks in at different times. Of course gearing, tires, and a number of other things matter too. He may of just had some short gears, which could potentially of got him to the end faster (tho you really have to shift -perfectly- to get a good time with short gears.. its more about the driver than the car), but from the sounds of it, you would of most certainly "pwned" as the kids say, him after around 100..
