Prediction on Aston Martin DB9 Prices
I wonder what will happen to prices for used Aston Martin DB9's when the AM V8 and XK8 hit the market? Obviously they are going to drop, but do you think we will see sub $100K numbers anytime soon? Best prices I have seen for this car has been in the $130K range so far.

I doubt it. I would think that it would have to stay higher than the Vantage or people would buy these used instead. I don't think the Jag will have any effect on the Aston sales. People in this price range are looking for exclusivity, not bang for the buck. Same people will keep buying SL65's instead of 500's or Ferraris instead of the new Z06 that will do everything as well for 1/3 the price.Porsche doesn't have a problem selling Cayennes even though the Toureg is pretty close to the same thing for much less.

The power plants make a huge difference between the two cars; a high powered super smooth V12 (DB9) vs. a very nice 4.3 V8 (AM8). From what I've read the DB9 convertible is some what of a flexible flyer however. I'm sure when the convertible version of the AM8 debuts it will have a much improved torsional/structural rigidity over the current 9. I'm still liking the all new Jag XK and I believe the XKR version will be pretty close if not similar to the AM8 in performance but certainly not in the exclusivity factor...
