You also should replace the stock crosspipe in the middle with x-pipe and 3" pipe between the cats and mufflers that what i did mine and sounds great. I'm thinking to have mufflers opened to see what I can remove but can't find the shop who will do it yet. We have mercedes meet at RAM located in Schaumburg at 3:00 today. Check it out. Are you locally in Chicago area?

I dropped the car off in the morning and went to work so didn't have the time to see how they did it. I'll keep those mods in mind but I think I'm done modding for the moment. My wife was like "it sounds louder" I just smirked. I'm in California, it'd be cool to find a mercedes meet that is local.Originally Posted by mbslowner

warm hello from Hong Kong! been using the forum for quite some time already looking up details & info about mercs.
Just realize I haven't really shared any pics of my car...
'04 R230 SL350 V6 (euro spec) n therefore there goes the V6
White on factory blue leather (I guess thats a rare yet weird combination?)
black walnut wood trim.
19" AMG Style 4 rims in white, lefted the lips in polish finish.
Has pano roof, AMG kit & Quads. Upgraded the SL63 LED tail lights... pretty much thats all.

you two sets of wheels? how did you get red line on one and white line on the other?Originally Posted by HemiTom
These BBS wheels have a polished lip on the outer edge. I painted the lip with the same paint I used on the brake calipers.

Not quite sure how this works. I think I have attached photos of my 230 and my 140. I'm going to hit submit and see what happens. well that seemed to work quite well the 140 is a 92 and my 230 is an 03. Mostly stock with the exception of sirius and mp3 players. In both cases I kept the OEM radio. 140 has a MP3 player that uses the tape deck adapter and the 230 is using the aux input and sirius in the glove box.

Changed from the stock 18" to 19" and it works well.
How did you get those to fit and what did you use?

OEM MB parts from 2012 S550 for 2 chrome plastic holders, 2 LED bulbs and 2 sockets
plus resourcefulness of my body shop guy to make 4 custom grills.
(They ran out of time yesterday so today I have to go in for installing of two error
cancelling parts (resistors?) in order to get rid of the error message at the dash board).

I know it is OEM but the grills was my conrern...Can they make more of them?
