2003 MB SL500
New to me 2003 SL500
Just bought 2003 SL500 today, capri blue and charcoal. nice clean low mileage (39K) car originally spent much of it's life in Florida so no road rash from winters in Northeast. (I live in Mass).
First MB, have been a BMW and Porsche guy til now. Car is beautiful!

MB SL500 R230
First summer with my SL500
Hi. This summer I have driven my SL500 2002 for 6000 Km in Sweden and Norway.
We have had a wonderful summer in Sweden. Before I went on this road trip I did a lot of maintenance on my car. I change all the fluids in the car, engine oil,gearbox, rear axle, ABC, Breaks, cooling system. I get rid of my miserable Michelintires. They was so noise. Now I have Goodyear / Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2. At thesame time I change my rims. My old AMG rims was some scratches in them. I change sparkplugs to. First to NKG and later back to Bosch. It wasen't so difficult to do. It takes about 2 houres if you are careful and have the right Tools. I also did a computer analysis of the car. We find out that I had a problem with the “sleepingsystem”. It didn’t go on when I looked my car so the battery went flat after 3-4 days. Now I can leave my car for moor then a week without my any problems.Now this is a magnificent car to drive. I love it.

Thanks! it took a tad to grow on me but now i see how rare it is and i love it.
From my understanding this car was ordered with things and other things left out, Such as the guy did not want parktronic as he did not like the bumper dots.
Cant say i blame him i like it better without.
Here are some other pics.

Not sure if i should post this here but thought i would share for anyone wanting the part number for the F1 front bumper. Im sure you could check via the VIN. Came across it totally by accident.
