SL/R230: R230 Official Picture thread!!!
My 2003 Designo Launch Edition. Pretty much stock. 53k miles on it now. Well-maintained. Runs like a top. It’s a rare day that I drive it and don’t have someone offering compliments or expressing amazement that this is now a 21 model year old car. Lovely design.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Diamond Silver over Red, 49k miles on this one.
Ready to take on some projects; front roof lock needs replacement, valve cover gaskets, plugs ; will probably just do the full kit with coil packs. wheels are stained fortunately no curb rash. Otherwise great service history from day one; SBC failed at 40k miles, replaced at no cost by dealer.
I Just replaced tires, K57 relay and crank position sensor.
Picked this for my message plate, the SL500 was featured on the tv series " Top Gear " They did drive in on the ebloladrome track
I never thought I'd be driving this SL500 before my 53 birthday.. For 10 yrs I had a '84 corvette C4 Z-51 in my garage,
The grille looks AMG, complements the lower grilles in the bumper
Fitted w/ a Germany front plate also Changed out that bland looking grille, for a blacked out Diamond edition grille with the fully lit emblem
The wheels are AMG .
18" x 8.5" w/ 255/40ZR-18 95Y front,
18" x 9.5" w/ 285/35ZR-18 97Y rear

That car is someone else's expression of their taste, time, energy and hobby. Whoever built it is proud of it, so why not find something you like about it, and comment on that?

My 2004 SL600, now owned by my friend Mike, who lives in Montana where he has hiways with no speed limit!! He's had it up to 178 MPH, although the car will go faster.
