I do have a question for you; how difficult was it to install the grill? I had to reposition the sides and hood a few times and applied a fair amount of dishwashing detergent mixed with water that made it easier to move around. Is that what you did? Any tips will be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

For the front grille - just position and press hard - no need for wet surface ( required for the fins )

Thanks, The more I look at your car the more I like the chrome look. I think I am going to do the bumper strips as well. Any hints here?

Thanks Again,

Your body kit looks sweet. Did you have the sports package on your car? I called to order the kit today and they asked If had the sports package, which I do, and they said that the back bumper would not work.

The car looks great and I am considering adding it to my SL. My concern is the installation. Is any body shop capable of doing it or do I need some special installer ??

i think you can do it by yourself ! the kit is a perfect fit, just add some special glue on the edges and put it in place with some support over night at a 60-65 degrees temp ( front and rear add-ons), the side skirts are just screwed in the frame, no glue involved ! The kit comes with all the hardware you need and the instructions w/ pictorials - but written in japanese ! LOL !

i still love the wald kit, but for some reason with the top down, it looks like it needs to go on a diet for spring weather... really kinda big down there..

Heh heh, I was just thinking the opposite...i think it looks even better with the top down. The rear end looks nice and fat

Found some more WALD pics here . Love those WALD S13 rims!! Does anyone know the maximum offset that a SL500 can handle?

Looks great.

Car looks even better with the top down. I like that Wald kit a lot.

ABC - Active suspension system - comes standard on all R230 SL

" The Mercedes system, known as Active Body Control (ABC), uses 13 different on-board sensors, which feed into four hydraulic servos positioned atop each coil spring. The ABC computer adjusts the ride every 10 milliseconds. The system is the result of over 20 years of research"

The car looks great but in my opinion you are getting carried away with the badges. Some look like an afterthought.
