SL/R230: Can not decide!

Can not decide!
Hello, I'm thinkin' about a benz, and I'm down to 3 models (New SL 500(388bhp)- ML 63 AMG or CLS 55 AMG) they all about the same price, ML is a little more expensive. Don't suggest SL 55, it's too much expensive than those 3. And maybe I can consider the upcoming CL 500, but don't have an idea about the prices.
What do you think about those 4?

ML is no fun to me...but a nice SUV with lots of class.
CLS is pretty much a coupe, my buddy has a new CLS 500 sport and the backseat is almost useless with anyone above 6'0 for medium drives; it is a really nice car but is no SL. I would probably buy the next CL instead.
The next CL is significantly far away compared to the SL550, which has been introduced. But it is on the horizon and will most likely be a great seller if the spy photos are accurate.
I would get the SL550 hands down...hardtop convertible, renown symbol of prestige....plus top down lady killer..lol

-how many passangers you will be driving around? If you have family or lots of friends, then 2 seater is not perfect
-how often you will have a possibility to ride with top down. Istanbul is pretty sunny, though that's not the only factor.
-on the other hand - SL is not a great choice for rough roads
But:
SL is most exclusive
SL is pretty
SL gives fun

if i had a CL or CLS and pulled up next to someone in an SL with their top down on a nice sunny day and all I had was my sun roof open, i'd prolly be a bit jealous.. while the top up on the SL functions nicely, with the top down, on a nice sunny day, is when the SL truly out performs any other car, for pure fun factor :>

After nearly 20 years of S-Class ownership, I'm about ready to order the new SL550 (382hp), and see what everybody has been talking about all these years. Everyone I talk to tells me I haven't really driven a Benz til I've driven an SL. I like the new "S" and the new "CL" looks promising, but I am a bit "gunshy" on the initial quality of these two very new models. My 2000 S-Class was a real problem child with more time in the shop than out. I really don't want to revisit that product quality debacle any time soon. The SL has just been refreshed and I am optimistic that the car will be wonderful !
