MBenzNL march/april california trip
The next MBenzNL (US) installation trip is scheduled for April. This trip will probably only go to Los Angeles & San Francisco – other destinations might be possible but that depends on workload & available time.
Like the last couple of times we offer a couple of modifications at a special discount price – these specials are ONLY valid for the upcoming trip and ONLY when deposits are received before March 20 AND valid for those who order a self install kit before that same March 20.
For the R230 we offer the following special:
- power folding sidemirrors with mirror switch…the 230s have the ability to autofold the mirrors when locking the car:750USD (normally 850USD). We have the power folding mirrors in stock for both the pre and post modelupdated 230s.
Furthermore we still offer the usual modifications (mail us for pricing):
- euro anti blind spot (convex) mirror glasses with auto diming driverside feature
- UHI and/or MHI (integrated) phonekits (NOT available for 2004s)
- Voice Recognition
- wood/leather steering wheels (different color combinations available)
- euro bumperstrips (without the US specific sidemarkers)
- illuminated (AMG) doorsills (original mercedes)
- distronic
- satellite radio kits (for the model updated MOST based cars)
…and whatever else that was offered by Mercedes as optional equipment…

voice recognition option
Wanted to know if anybody has the voice recognition option on their SL.
I had it on my ML500 02 and S430 and did not use it to much because the commands were limited to the radio stations and changing from CD, to radio or to NAvi.
Not sure have they updated it to do more like control AC or anything else.
I was planning to have MBenzNL install this option for me but not sure what commands were available.
