SL/R230: SL500 Fault

SL500 Fault
Hi
I recently purchased a SL500 (2003) and I have had it 4 weeks and a orange light has appeared on the dash in the shape of a gearbox, I have no manual to see what the problem is could anyone please tell me, it goes off now and then but is now it is on constantly.
Also i have noticed a little dip stick at the very back of the engine ( about 2" long) could you please tell me what this is too as it very low and no warning lights have come on the dash other than the orange one.

You have problem with the mass air that adjust's the volume of air to the machine. It happends to me also. It costs approximatelly 600 euro
