....how much should it cost to tint the back half of 4 door car like a Lexus ES....I've been quoted $180-200 from almost every shop I called, is this right or should it be less (note that this price is for just back half, not the whole car)

...also the tint shop is going to be taking out some door panels to do the SL windows, does that sound right..though im not worried too much since he's been doing mercedes cars for 13years and just happends to have a Ferrari scheduled for the same day as mine...so either way for the price im getting it seems like a good deal to me...
i actually talked to the owner of The Art of Tint in NYC which i heard a lot about (tinter for the Bentley, Ferrari, Maybach, Porsche, Lamborghini dealers in NYC area...and has done the cars of Pdiddy JLo and other Hip Hop Moguls) (www.TheArtofTint.com) and he said that you dont need to remove the panels to do the car...but some places just do, so as long as they know what they're doing its fine

Well that PIC was taken right before the sunset.....Many shops thought they needed moleskin/ or had to deal with door panel issues- but my guy said some benzs do and some dont. My tint was put on without messing with the doors. He's already done a S550 and had done many SL's, etc.

Thanks for posting the "day" pic...definetly love the 3M film on the SL...well im getting my 2003 Lexus ES300's back half tinted out with 20% first on thursday since he didnt have a time slot long enough to do the SL that day...so im going to see how the 20% looks in person on the Lexus...and if i like the look and it isnt look too dark inside and out...then ill do 20% all around on the SL...otherwise probably just go with 35% instead
