Help! Problem with Bi Xenon Headlight!
About a month ago, I came back to my car in a parking lot, and the front drivers side bixenon head light was broken into. I left the car at the dealer for a week and when I got it back there was a problem. When I turn my lights on, they both project the blueish xenon light for about 20 seconds, then the NEW light that is the replacement goes back to white or halogen. I don't get it. The right passanger side stays blue and xenon, but the new one goes from Blue to White every time I turn the car on and it stays white. So my lights don't match.
CAN anyone help me with this problem. I hate not having the same color lights!! THANKS!

Kind of like replacing shocks or brakes etc...rule of thumb with HIDs, replace
in pairs. Due to lot#s and variations in manufacturing, etc the bulbs should
always be replaced in tandem, so as to ensure color match as much as
possible. Even when swapped in pairs, be sure to compare lot numbers.

Raymond, you were right. I spoke to my technician at Beverly Hills Mercedes today and they said the same thing. I am going to take it in to do that. Thanks!

can get them from HIDPlanet dot com for about $80 a pair. dealer will no
doubt, charge you a bit more for the pair.
bulb type doesnt change the fact that they're still bixenon. same bulb used
be it single beam or bixenon. the difference between single/bixenon is the
moveable shutter inside the projector light itself. when you use HIGH beam,
the shutter moves to uncover the full beam. again, the bulb used is the same
as that on single beam...and you'll see on your invoice that the bulb is D2S
Phillips or Ostram. Don't settle for any other brand name.
up till the incident, your bulbs burned in....and settled in to their set color
at the same time. after the incident, the newer bulb had to start the
bulb aging process all over again. it no longer matched the other bulb.
by purchasing two new bulbs now, they'll be happy, look alike twins
again....and you'll be smiling again too.

I know, but I have used the new bulb for over 100 hours. And I don't want to replace both and have them white, I love the one that I have had, I am going to try to find another used light at the dealer that has the same number. That might work. Thanks!
