1st SERVICE A = 2006 SL600 Now LEAKS OIL
Well lucky me. After my first service "A", I now have a car that leaks oil.
Check out the attached pictures, any input would be appreciated. Oil is leaking from under the center of the car in the engine compartment area. I went to a oil change center we have in Tallahassee, and they said the plug was tight. What in the world could be going on.
This really pisses me off, I called the dealership and am going there Tuesday. What I would really like to do is get my hands on the tech that worked on my car. He scratched my rims while balancing the tires (which they are supposed to replace for me), my car now tells me something about an interior motion sensor (which I don't have), and as a bonus, I leave oil every place I go.
Steve + Louiseville Slugger vs. Incompetent Mercedes Mechanic.
These Dealerships just hire any incompetent fool that walks in the door.

I have read the same thing from several other MBWorld enthusiast. Makes me believe that there is an issue with the fleece filters and/or issues with these "technicians" that certain MB dealers are hiring.
Good luck on getting your leak resolved.

Enterprise rent-a-car!!!
its the technicians that MB are sending out of UTI and Elite.
Complete idiots.
MB cut all the warranty times for techs by about 50-70% and then doubled the paper work for them, so all the qualified skilled techs are leaving dealers in droves. All that is left is $10 per hour guys who last month were washing or parking the cars!!

Gotta love that Mercedes quality...
face it, we drive 100k Dodges..
I have to basically wrap my car in condom when I take it for service. If I dont i have scuffs on my door jams and dirt on my carpets and steering wheel.
Almost makes you want to buy a BMW... almost <lol>
Techs are just part changers, anyone could do the work they do as long as you have access to the guides/tools they have. Its not hard to follow an instruction manual.

Sorry for your trouble. I figured out that most of the Mercedes techs are morons when I had my CL55 and brought it in for service a few times.
I am fortunate that Renntech is only about 40 minutes away from where I live. I now bring my car to them for all my service needs. All of their mechanics are hand picked quility Mercedes Mechanics and their is virtually no wait for service. Also you can watch them work on your car. Too me it is worth the drive. I absolutely hate bringing my car to the dealer for service. The process is a pain and it is amazing how clueless the SA's are most of the time
