Maybe LovinSL600 is refering to the fact that when the whole aft part of the car is disassembled, maybe there are some other irritating noises, etc from poor assembling... HOPE NOT!!

Hope not too but you got the point.
Before my car was serviced, I treated my service advisor and the tech who has been working on my car lately, each to a $200 gift certificate to The Cheesecake Factory restaurant, both were floored by my generosity and seemed to do a good job for me. Although something may be found to not be PERFECT which as of now I cannot find something, the choice to have the gas tank replaced was something I felt I needed to do. I really didn't like hearing the fuel SLOSHING around each time I stopped the car. I don't know what causes the failure, maybe it is all the hard accelerating I have been doing with the car. I love the power of this V12.

Digging up this really old thread, i apologize, i am now hearing the sloshing sound too when i'm at a stop. It's really embarrassing but i had to tell my friends that the noise they're hearing is the liquid cooled turbos and intercoolers being circulated. So they don't know i might have something wrong with the car lol. Was this ever dangerous, do i need to have this tank replaced or is it okay to drive it like this. I just don't want to end up like grilled kebabs.
DIY fix...about $1 in parts for the spring. Save your money for gas!
It’s the fuel level sending unit on top of your gas tank. Accessed from the trunk.
If you have not wrenched on cars I’d give this picture to your mechanic and have him do the deed.
Buy him a beer afterwards. He just saved you about $5000.
