hmm....very interesting........i wish u had dyno before u went in there.........can u be more specific about throttle response..............i feel you made the choice to buy chip because you just wanted to get stock hp.......something wrong here................on a positive note we had a fun time in atl this weekend............my best time was 13.573 at 101.....car felt a little weak top end
i just posted the dyno. i did sort of a reverse test since sat was not dyno day. i believe i did 3 baseline runs and got the poor results. it could be a combination of 91 octane and an unbroken in car. only time will tell. on the s550 forum, a dyno was posted of his baseline. he got 298rwhp which still doesn't equate to 382hp. i'm hoping as i put more mileage on it, the hq/tq will increase along w/ the additional hq/tq i'm getting from the chip.
the improved throttle response is noticeable when you start from a stop. i drove it all night saturday just to make sure it's not my imagination. i think what they did was decrease the lag time since these car are all throttle by wire (i think that's the term). not that there was a big lag or anything with the original ecu but it's something improves on it.
on sunday they flashed the original program and i went for another test run. i felt it was not as responsive.
glad you had fun on sun. how many mile on your car so far? the trap speed seems a little low?? i thought it would be around 104-5.

Thanks for detailed response...I did have fun sunday........highlighted by running with my good friend in his Maserati spyder (That car is light! and has a great top end..... my car just didnt feel like a 400 hp car at the end f the run.....to sum up, I owe him dinner lol) and I beat a slk55 on a mediocre run but it felt good.......my car has 2800 miles and it has loosened up...I was mad that the eisenmann exhaust i had ordered late August was not installed.......but good fun all around... the AMG guys are great....

i'm glad you had fun. sounds like it was a blast.
if you get an opportunity, go dyno your car. mfr stats 382hp but if you see my dyno, it the math doesn't add up. this could be a reason why it doesn't feel like a 400hp car.
this s550's hp doesn't add it either:
