Im hoping thats not the final form of the new SL!! Its weird looking to me. And from one of the previous posts it does look like it follows the lines of the G35.

Just a photo shop of a possible prototype....the next SL however is most likely 2 years away, maybe less time in Europe...they are keeping close wraps on all the design scheme footage. This is a car they can either make incredible or screw up really bad...I hope it looks mean as hell Eventually we will see camo'ed test mules running the tracks about a year before production...thats about the time I will start to say goodbye to my R230...=(

This Gullwing thing is a strange idea since there is already the SL which goes up to $200k, the SLR and all the other sporty models...I think they should stop whoring out the brand...but I guess this one can be an exception since it looks more badass then most new editions.

Edit...I think the Audi R8 is BADASS...if it only had a benz sign in the girl...lol

Also, if they make a retro/future looking Gullwing like super coupe it should take over the SLR's position, because if it is priced anywhere near the SL it will cause trouble IMO.

 

this could be a move to a new mid engine design to compete with ferrari 360 and lambo.
