abrupt gear changes

This past week I have noticed jumpy shifts (up and down) in my 2006 500. I've tried using the comfort mode and still see it, so it appears as if it is not confined to 1-2 shift. I tried playing around with manual to see if I could tell where the problem was, but it was inconclusive.

Any thoughts/comments? Obviously I should take it in (no check engine light or anything), but I wanted to drive next week for Thanksgiving and don't want to drive a rental.

oh, it just turned 4k miles old and I did have the 3k checkup 1500 back.

seems like it is 1->2 or 3->2, ie an issue shifting into 2nd...

I've had the same thing happen to me a couple times while driving in auto. I don't drive in that mode too much so I guess i'll have to use it more.

It happens at low speed so I do think you are correct about it shifting in the low gears.
