Question Advice on different SL550 wheels needed!

I took delivery of my '07 SL550 in April and absolutely love it except I still don't like the stock wheels (I don't have the AMG Sport Package). The wheels are too "chick" for me. Yes, I am female but I prefer a more aggressive-looking wheel. The brake calipers on the '07 are so small and unsightly since MBZ went to the new brake system. I like 5-6 spoke wheels, but then the ugly caliper is more easily seen. I checked with BRABUS and for $8,000 I can get Brembo brakes and another $8,000 will get the BRABUS braking system. It seems foolish to spend money on that so I am considering the BRABUS Monoblock E 19 inch wheels. Do you guys think these are too similar to the stock wheels that I have? Would the 19 inch wheels with lower profile tires make the ride more firm (this would be a good thing!)?

I am a previous BMW M3 enthusiast so I am not familiar with a lot of the aftermarket wheels for MBZ yet. Can you help?

Hi... welcome.. congrats on the new ride.

Id go with HRE, Iforged, or Brabus. I think you would be happier with 20's, they ride the same as 19's do and look much better.

Lets see some pics of the car!....depending on color you have alot of options, but stay with 19s imo ....i luv brabus but those new monoblocks are nine spoke, i think they look bettter on a bigger car, ie the new s class..... i personally like the high polish look....and u are right those calipers are the worst looking thing on the car............16k for brakes eh

M6 Gran Coupe
I just picked up a set of black Lowenhart LDR's last night. I had bought a set in August but they were bent (long story). I just ended up buying a set that was new.

Anyways, they are 20x11 rear and 20x9 front. Lorinser, I saw in another post you ran this same size setup. What size tires did you use, and was there any wheel well modifications that needed to be done? I have heard 20x11 won't fit without rolling the fender? Also, when you lowered, did that in turn create any problems with the 20x11?

How about some DPE 3PC Wheels?
Also, we carry Brabus, Radenergie, Carlsson, and much much more... we've definitely got something you would like so give us a call!

SL-Chick,
Just to give you one more option. My Brabus MonoBlock VI iwheels in the metal finish. They would look even better in 19" or 20" since you are willing to increase the size of your rim.
