now all i need to do is put my EISENMANN race quad 4x83 mm on next week and get those fins and front grills painted black.

it's taking me a while to choose and afford these mods.
i got the clear side markers from EBAY.

the sl55 front clear turn signals will work with all sl r230 models. it also comes with the yellow bulb.

twist the light to get to bulb out of lens, and put new amber bulb in, and twist new clear lens in.

I think the euro-lorinser side strips are the best choice imho.. i've seen the clear reflectors and they are.. okay.. but look a little "ricey" imho.
Just pops out with a screwdriver and comes from lorinser already painted. (Below is a small pic of them on my car in my signature)

i chose the clear lens on white because it was close to white instead of getting the EURO bumper strips.
i think the clear lens looks good on either the white or silver cars the best.

attached below are the prepainted euro/lorinser front bumper replacements.. they come prepainted in your car color for $300 for the pair. just snap stock ones off with a screwdriver and snap the new ones in.. on the euro these are stock.

i was gonna go your route first, but the clear lenses looked ok on the white SL.
i would rather put the rest of the money on painting the fins and front grill gloss black to match the wheels and have the full white black exterior (except for the taillights of course
)i haven't had time to take the car to the bodyshop to get the fins and front grill painted black yet and this is my only car for the winter, my other ride for now is my yamaha R6 mototrcycle, and it's a little cold to ride to work sometimes. once they are painted, the exterior of my car will be done.
if i was as rich as you, i'd get the carbon fiber interior to replace that wood trim. then my interior would be done.
