Go for the Cayman S, because it handles better and mainly it is much newer. The new SL550 is already out, so no point in getting an older model.

Hi Lontong,
Down to taste really. SL's a beautiful car but not a sports car like a Porsche.
I'm a bit biased as I don't like Porsches much but if you like throwing cars around get the Cayman. If not, get an SL and get the roof down - different class.

I love the SL's folding hardtop and comparing it to the Cayman, especially in terms of age is difficult.
The CaymanS still seems like a last-generation car
If it were me, I'd go for the SL.

Thk's bro, The SL 500 price is RM725.000 Black with Red, The Cayman S is RM 732.000 Red with beige. I'm plan to drive the car to work sometimes, n for weekend. House to office around 20km. My heart tell me go for SL, the dealer call me everyday, Porsche dealer call me once. Still need ask people to make decision

hello there! nice to see another malaysian brother here
i'll recommend go for the SL, as 725K is a bargain for late 04. Try negotiate with the SA. I believe they would drop to 700K flat.
Good luck!

2005 SL55 AMG
I just sold my Porsche for an SL55
Although I enjoyed my '03 996 Cab, I am now very happy with my SL which is, although a much heavier car, a much more refined drive. I also used to have a Boxster, which in my opinion, was a better and more fun drive than the 996. It really depends on what kind of driving you enjoy the most. If you like driving fast in the twisty roads, the Cayman is a wonderful drive. If you like to ride in a bit more luxury and comfort, but still have some sportiness, the SL is a better car. Also, in Malaysia, the humidity may not allow you to enjoy the top down drives as much in the SL, but having the choice of top up/down is great.
Good Luck!

Red with beige may be hard for you to re-sell. There is nothing like driving around in the late afternoon/early evening with the top down on the SL. Good Luck in your decision

Thank you everybody. I'll get a test drive both car this saturday. First impress in the SL is more space, big, strong and relax. The engine is ok 0-100 about 5-6 secs and enough for me, i'll try topdown drive is very2 exciting. The cayman S makes me feel more sporty, rocks and younger as well. The engine sounds is very good. One thing out of my mind is the SL faster than Cayman S, cant imagine a much heavier car faster than a smaller. My dad suggest me go for SL, no matter when he dated, SL always an excotic car. What do you guys think ?
