Replacing SL500 badge.
Greetings. When I bought my 2005 a few months ago it had the SL500 badge removed. The dealer got me a new one but I could use some advice for applying it to the trunk. I can find an SL and make the measurements but does anyone have any tips on applying it? Should I clean the surface with something? I searched for this but I can only find discussions on how to remove it. Thanks, Rob.

The dealer messes this up all the time....I would park next to another SL and eye it out if I were going to put it on.
But then again I would keep it off.....or I guess you could reaffirm your status?

Thanks. I haven't done anything yet. Just wondered if I should wipe the spot down with alcohol first? Thanks.

Eye it out!!!
No. Go to the dealer and measure it. Then, carefully apply to your car with those measurements.
Leaving it off can't hurt either.
