hello everybody
need to fix laser disk from comand on my SL R230.
I UNDERSTAND CENTRAL CONSOLE MUST BE REMOVED.
Any clues /photos for this job?

I have a cd, that has a video showing the removal of the command unit, I will try to post it tomorrow when I get back from the coast.

the quickie answer is to first pull the two side panels on the console; these will pry right out starting at middle seam (right about at the seatbelt reciever). once out it exposes several T-20 screws. unscrew 3 on each side. there are more than three on each side but the ones you want are ~20 mm long. (the furthest back set of screws are set in and not easy to see. use a flashlight to find them.). once out the console top piece ( the wood panel) comes out as one piece. begin by prying at the rear and working forward. reach underneath as you go along and disconnect the cables
