New Tires for 2005 SL500

I need to get new tires for my 2005 SL500 with the sport package and wanted to run by some thoughts. I have Alphard 5 hole 18" staggered rims now but there is some minor damage so I would like to replace them. I'm running Micheln Pilot Sport which I find to be VERY noisy. I would consider
PS2s but they are not available in the rear 285/35 size; only the front 255/40 size. Here are my alternatives I as see them. I know that there are cost differences--just wanted your thoughts. My priorities are 1) minimum noise; 2) reasonably good ride 3) good wet performance (I don't care about snow).

1. Stay with current rims; Replace tires with Pilot Sport A/S (all season) in staggered sizes. If I do this, I may replace one rim.

2. Switch to new AMG staggered rims (closeout on tire rack) and get Pilot Sports A/S staggered tires (basically the same as 1 with new rims).

3. Switch to new AMG non staggered rims (front sizes all around) and get Pilot Sport A/S staggered tires. This way I can rotate the tires.

4. Switch to new AMG non staggered rims (front sizes all around) and get Pilot Sports PS2 summer tires. I can rotate with this approach too.

Given my priorities, what are your thoughts? I'm leaning to either 3 or 1 depending on how much I can find a new Alphard rim for. But I welcome all thoughts. Thanks!

The most sticky tires Ive had were staggered Toyo T1r's but the sidewall is soft and they get a bit tattered looking faster then some brands. They stick like glue to the road though and they really made the SL fun to drive. I run PS2's on my 20's now and the wear seems better...all around the PS2 is probably my favorite tire for wear, handling and noise. Lately with my new wheel/tire setup I dont speed around since the wheels are worth good money and I am afraid to bend them so I cant really judge them on extreme handling like I can the Toyo's. Either way I would stay with staggered rims and at least a 285 in the rear...I have 305/25/20 back there now and it fells and looks INSANE compared to the 18's.

In the UK 20" rims are out of the question I have the same wheels as you and like them very much . I picked up one new rear at $120 on Ebay.

I would replace the damaged one they look better than the AMGs
