ROAD RAGE!!!!!!

This evening on my way home, I was at a traffic light turning off of a three lane highway, and turning off onto a road with two lanes of traffic that eventually merge into one. The driver in the left lane was going quite slow so i passed him in the right lane and decided to pass the next car since I had plenty of time and room to do it. As I passed the second car, he actually swerved to the right as I was going by him, I punched it to avoid him hitting the back left of my car. A few minutes later he was right on my ***, I made the next right and he did too, I took the next right into the first part of my community at that time he turned right to and just about smashed into the back right of my car, with how small the turning lane was I was amazed he didn't end up in the ditch, when I noticed what he did, I turned left behind the community sign and he did the same. I looked back out onto the main street only saw one car coming from the right and decided to turn left and lose this guy. I got out in the street, and opened it up, he was stuck behind the other car, I turned back into my community at the next entrance and went home.

All I can say is WOW, seems this guy didn't like the fact that I was going to pass him and felt he had the RULE of the road tonight. I just wanted away from him to avoid him smashing into my car.

Not Sure

Not sure, it was a small looking sport utility of some kind, not new looking at all.

First, the guy was a jerk. So, who's to say he's not carrying a gun and is stupid enough to pull it out and kill you? The no confrontation solution is the best way to de-esclate a possible life threatening encounter...think about your response a little more.

As my sig says....

We ARE expreiencing de-evolution.

All the wolves in the hind of the pack breed, breed, breed while the alphas work, work, work and are socially responsible. We are creating a genetic cesspool.

You just experienced progeny of the hind wolves.

They WILL be the downfall of our society either singly or en mass.

Well said trauma doc...Sometimes I unintentionally merge too early in front of a nearby vehicle and sometimes you get one of these road owners who think they are the road warriors who want to dictate respect! You are right we are in some kind of De-volution, this society of millennials is headed to hell!

Small crowd comfortable buying a used MB in general, but will get even thinner with a carfax hit to the vehicle (especially the airbags). I suspect new headliner, possibly sunroof repair work, obviously new door and interior trim. Once the airbag goes off, the interior basically comes apart in an engineered way. If you press on the interior of the pillars, the trim pieces all throughout the car where there are airbags, you'll see just how loosely they're installed.

Do not accept their insurance company's definition of diminished value. You'll want an independent 3rd party to appraise and evaluate the car for the price differences.

By way of example, my dad's car (caddy suv, small one), parking lot in Florida, pizza delivery guy ever so gently backed up and didn't see him and hit his door, right in the spot where the curtain airbags went off. To look at the car, you'd of thought just a new door was needed. $7,500+ of damage done to the interior because of the airbags. They totaled it out. Was one of those older mid-size caddy's that looked little different than a Chevy Equinox. Xsomethingofanother. I called it the Blue Hair Beauty.

Yea, I think the deal was done 15 years ago or so.

Not sure why my post ended up in this thread? I thought I was responding to a thread and picture of a damaged X167 GLS. Strange....

I think maybe he was just jealous and was following you around to get a closer glimpse of this fast car that passed him!

In Florida the Pick up truck idiots are the ones who get pissed about stuff like this. Slow in the left lane won't move over, yet then you are in front of them and there is a car in front of you they ride right on top of your rear. Big tough guys. I wait for the car in front to move over. I roll down the window give the truck driver the finger and bury the throttle until he looks like a Tonka toy. Oh the joy!!!!

Soft close doors and wireless charging are 2 of the options not high on our list of wants or even something we cared about. After having them we really like them, Especially with young children that fall asleep when driving. It is easy for us to run a few errands and get out without having to make noise closing the doors. Of course when we are driving our other cars we forget to shut the doors hard enough
