SL500 Prices Continue to Plummet
Hi All:
I know there have been several threads indirectly or directly related to this topic.
I paid just over 60K for my 2005 SL500 in Mars Red with only 11,500 miles. Although it was not certified, I thought I was getting a good deal. If I were to trade it in today (not that I will) looks like I might get less than 50K by my calculations!
If I decide to sell at end of summer, and get another toy next year, how would be the best way to attempt sale, and what price might I ask?![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Thanks,

i am selling my 993 and will then buy an 05. prices and kb seems to indicate mid to low forties right now and there are are a few examples on a/trader with miles betwen 30 -40 k.
hope that helps...i can only see a downturn in prices as the 09 start appearing on the road and the economy slows down further.

When I bought my new 2008 SL550, I figured it would lose about $1K a month for the first 5 years and then hold at around $30K mark depending on miles for awhile
. Boats and Wives depreciate a lot faster and their upkeep is alot more.
