Installed Sprint Booster in my SL550 today!

Got my SL550 about 10 days ago and with the 550 engine it's plenty quick, but had just the slightest pedal lag. I ordered a SB the day after I got my car because it had worked wonders with the lag in my ML63.

Installed it today and I'm very pleased with the change. The installation was very easy. Just remove the three #20 torx screws that hold the plastic cover just above the gas pedal and carefully slide out the panel. The accelerator pedal has a plug now visible on the right side. Carefully unplug it and plug in the SB and that's it! Re-assemble the panel and you're done!

Does not increase HP at all but remaps throttle inputs so that the car feels more responsive to your pedal input. I love what it does for so little cost and effort!

Thanks for the post Tony. I doubt I will get around to doing anything more than new mats or a piece of chrome somewhere. Sounds like a nice upgrade and a simple install.

That red looks really good next to the black ML AMG.

I have the 451A in both of my vehicles and it doesn't make them jumpy at all.

SB stand for Sprint Booster, a computer chip that remaps your accelerator inputs and gives you power more quickly than standard MB tuning.
