I'd like an iPhone in my SL too
Can I get a 2G iPhone installed in my 2006 SL that will work with the MB standard steering wheel controls for the phone and the in dash phone list etc.?
Does this have to be installed by a MB dealer or can I have it installed at an auto electronics place?

SL500 and A-CLASS
I had to purchase a MB bluetooth puck that fits in my V60 cradle. The I-Phone works like a regular MB phone. IPOD function of the IPHONE does not work in my SL. I may have to purchase the DENSION device.

If you have the new G3 model it is not supported per a note on the AWS site. It will probably be approved after their testing, in fact it might even work now but that is a guess. I also note the original iPhone is only approved through version 1.4, not for v 2.0 which is the same version on the G#.
